“Devanapiya maharaja gamani abayasa puta tisayasa lene gadamadane agata anagata catu disa sagasa”

 

This is a pre-Brahmi cave inscription from the Gallena Vihara in Kurunegala district. The Cave “Gandhamadana” of Prince Tissa, the son of Great King Devanampiya Gamini Abhaya, was offered to the Sangha of the four quarters, present and absent.
